Louis Howard Wilcox, 75, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

He was born November 29, 1949, in Torrington, Connecticut and was the son of the late Frederick Hugh Wilcox and Elizabeth Jessie (Morroway) Wilcox.

As a young man, Louis' passion was archery, and he enjoyed traveling to different states participating in various tournaments.  He graduated with a degree in mathematics from the University of Connecticut and earned a master's degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. For most of his career, he worked as a systems analyst at Summers Thin Strip, a division of Olin Corporation, before retiring at age 55.

On October 9, 2004, he married Carol Ann (Cummings) Wilcox, who preceded him in death on May 4, 2013.

Most recently, his passions were fixing up John Deere tractors and spending time in the ministry talking to people about the Bible. He was a member of the Franklin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

On March 19, 2022, he married Jeri Louise (Hartman) Wilcox, who survives.

And three step-grandchildren –

Jeffrey Tracey, Gemma Dunn and Brycen Dunn

Private inurnment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Franklin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses with Matt DiBacco officiating.  Zoom attendance will be available – contact (304) 642-2941 for more information.
