Mr. Larry David Alt, 58, of Upper Tract, WV died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his home. He was born June 19, 1951 at Petersburg, WV and was the son of the late Curtis Alt and Goldie Kimble Alt. He had worked for Lantz Construction for twelve years, had been past fire chief for the Upper Tract Volunteer Fire Dept., and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Petersburg, WV. He is survived by - One daughter - Tonya (& her husband, Bobby) Simon of Brandywine, WV Two sons - Jared Alt (& Jessica Vance) of Upper Tract, WV Preston Alt of Upper Tract, WV Three brothers - Glenville Alt of Upper Tract, WV Norman Alt of Harrisonburg, VA Denton Alt of Upper Tract, WV One grandson - Justin Simon Two granddaughters - Kaitlyn Todd & Madison Alt And his former wife - Terri Kimble of Upper Tract, WV Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, WV with Bishop J. Stephen Kimble officiating. Burial will be at Kline Cemetery. Jeff Lough, Nathan Keplinger, Jimmie Holloway, Rick Kile, Steve Kile and Craig Holloway will serve as his pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home after 8:00 AM Tuesday. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Upper Tract Vol. Fire Dept., P. O. Box 42, Upper Tract, WV 26866. The Ladies' Auxiliary of the Upper Tract Vol. Fire Dept. will provide a meal for family and friends on Wednesday at the Upper Tract Training Center (formerly the Upper Tract Grade School) following the service.
