Joyce Eileen Burgess Bosley, 85, formerly of Jacksonville, NC, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV where she had resided since 2012.

She was born September 29, 1930 at Laureldale, WV and was the daughter of the late Albert Burgess and Rosa McNemar Burgess.

She was retired after having worked as a medical secretary, credit union agent, real estate agent, Amway representative, Paradise Jewelry consultant and a Raleigh representative. She was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Peace Court No. 18 Order of the Amaranth.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Luther R. Bosley, whom she married on May 11, 1949.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Burgess.

A number of nieces, including – Martha Lee Pritts, Donna Bodkin and Sue Alt

A number of great-nieces, including –

Tiffany Madron, Brooke Alt, Kelsey Alt, Annette McGuiness

A number of nephews, including –

Chuck Burgess and Donald Burgess

A number of great-nephews, including –

Benji Pritts

And a number of great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Friday in the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Calvin Bailey officiating.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the chapel of the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC, with interment following the service.
