Joy E. Hartman, 72, of Upper Tract, WV died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. She was born December 11, 1938 at Mozer, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Isaac Marshall Vandevander and Hazel Elizabeth Miller Vandevander. Joy was a cook at Ikey's Restaurant and worked in housekeeping at Thompson's Motel. She attended Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. She is survived by - One sister - Geraldine S. Hevener of Upper Tract, WV One brother - John R. Vandevander of Upper Tract, WV She was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers, Isaac Vandevander and Joe Allen Vandevander and a special friend, Joyce Adamson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, WV with Rev. Leon Hevener officiating. Burial will be at Kline Cemetery.
