John Andrew Corbett, Sr., 53, of Green Spring, WV passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Western Maryland Health Center in Cumberland, MD. He was born July 27, 1050 and was the son of the late Frances Arnica and George W. Corbett. Andy was a Master Carpenter who made beautiful pieces of furniture and cabinetry in his basement shop. He was a good father and husband who always enjoyed family and friends. His hobbies were horseshoes, volleyball, hunting, camping and fishing on the banks of the South Branch River. Surviving are - His wife - Mary Corbett of Green Spring, WV Three sons - John Corbett, Jr. of Winchester, VA Matthew Corbett of Green Spring, WV Michael Athey of Berkeley Springs, WV One daughter - Leah Corbett of Winchester, VA One brother - Mitch Corbett (& Kathie) of Paw Paw, WV Three sisters - Denise Shepherd (& Luis Arellano) of Paw Paw, WV Janice McConnell (& Dennis) of Paw Paw, WV Judy Perry (& Jerry Pullen) of Gainsboro, VA Two stepsons - Christopher Swick of Illinois Andy Swick of Cumberland, MD One grandson - Cameron Corbett of Winchester, VA Four step-grandchildren - Eyrnn, Travis, Logan and Chandler Swick And a number of nieces and nephews His body was donated to the Maryland Human Gift Registry. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Pastor Darlene Powers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o the Bank of Romney.
