Miss Jessie M. Vandevander, 93, of Franklin, West Virginia died Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, West Virginia. She was born October 25, 1915 at Simoda, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Charles A. Vandevander and Christina Lambert Vandevander. She had worked at the Star Restaurant and Byrd's Restaurant and had retired from the Franklin H-P Store. She was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church. She never married. She is survived by one sister - Ethel Wimer of Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV And several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, West Virginia with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Burial will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton, West Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Kimble Funeral Home.
