Jeffrey John Shaw, 59, of Petersburg, WV died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, surrounded by family and friends in the home he built on Middle Mountain near Petersburg.

He was born May 30, 1958 and was the son of the late Jo Ann Metcalfe and Thomas Ross Shaw.

Jeff grew up in Bethesda, Maryland where he attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.  He was a talented saxophone player who went on to study music at Montgomery College.  A lifelong carpenter, Jeff worked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and Pendleton County.  His greatest joys in life were his two daughters and building homes for many of his friends.

Every year, Jeff celebrated his birthday with family and friends over Memorial Day weekend.  In honor of what would have been his 60th year, all are invited to celebrate Jeff's life at his Middle Mountain home, 384 Tweed Lane, Petersburg, WV  26847 on Sunday, May 27, 2018.
