James Eugene Ardinger, 84, of Great Cacapon, WV passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.

He was born April 5, 1933 in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the son of the late James E. B. Ardinger and Mary G. Morningstar.

He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  James worked as a tools design engineer. He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and enjoyed reading, watching birds, especially hummingbirds, gardening, canoeing and day long mountain trips.

On December 29, 2004, he married Melinda Shank Ardinger, who survives.

Two stepsons

One sister

One brother

Twelve grandchildren

And eleven great-grandchildren

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, Maryland with Pastor Earl Travis officiating.
