Jacob Mark "Jake" Munson, 72, of Graniteville, South Carolina entered into rest on April 15, 2022 at University (Piedmont) Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Mark was born August 11, 1949 at Berkeley Springs, West Virginia and was the son of the late Lawrence Munson and Oma Lee Parrill Munson Sparks.  A native of Paw Paw, he was an amazing and loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He was kind, thoughtful and fun to be around, and he loved everyone.  He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and activities.  Mark enjoyed playing guitar and mandolin with his sister. Mark retired from Carbonic Gases Airgas, Augusta, Georgia with 21 years of service.  He received several safety awards, including the one million miles Safety Driving award and was awarded a twenty year safety driver Award Jacket for this milestone.  Mark was a member of Graniteville First Baptist Church, read his Bible every day and was a faithful servant of the Lord.  His family will miss him deeply and cherish their memories shared together.

A brother-in-law, Gentong Woo Hong, Sr., preceded him in death.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Ginevan Cemetery at Okonoko, West Virginia with Doug Munson officiating.

David Sparks, Bradley Foltz, Daniel Munson, Jr., Corey Byrnes, John D. Munson and Michael Parrill will serve as his pallbearers.
