Ina Gladys Whetzel, 87, of Franklin, WV died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was born April 9, 1923 at Smoke Hole, WV and was the daughter of the late Obed Berkley Kimble and Vergie Landes Kimble. She was retired from the Laundry Dept. at Grant Memorial Hospital and was a member of The House of Prayer Pentecostal Church in Franklin. On May 28, 1941, she married Charles Roy Whetzel, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2003. They were married for 61 years. Surviving are - Three daughters - Shirley Kile of Petersburg, WV Bonnie (& her husband, Orville Lee) Rexrode of Sugar Grove, WV Frances (& her husband, Randy) Ruddle of Franklin, WV Four sons - Charles Lee (& his wife, Margaret) Whetzel of Franklin, WV Cletus (& his wife, Sandra) Whetzel of Baltimore, MD Paul (& his wife, Midge) Whetzel of Petersburg, WV Gary (& his wife, Kim) Whetzel of Norfolk, VA Three sisters - Rosetta Huffman of Franklin, WV Loretta Huffman of Arthur, WV Hilda Rohrbaugh of Maysville, WV Two brothers - Roy Kimble of Upper Tract, WV Delmas Kimble of Arthur, WV Seventeen grandchildren Thirty-three great-grandchildren Eleven great-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by six brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, WV with Revs. Joseph Eversole, Harold Cullers and Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV. Friends may call after 8:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
