Mrs. Imogene Shreve Alt, 95, of Catonsville, MD died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at her home. She was born April 19, 1917 at Upper Tract, WV and was the daughter of the late Alvin Vernon Shreve and Cleda Bowers Shreve. Imogene was a homemaker and enjoyed helping community organizations. She was a member of the Church of the Advent. On May 10, 2004, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Melvin D. Alt. Surviving are - Two daughters - Polly (and her husband, Bob) Gardenghi of Catonsville, MD Judith Wiley of Severna Park, MD One son - Joseph (and his wife, Lu) Alt of Catonsville, MD Eleven Grandchildren Twenty-five Great-Grandchildren And Four Great-Great-Grandchildren Preceding her in death were a son, Jerry Alt, one brother, Bowers Shreve, two sisters, Thelma Fortney and Ressa Alt and one son-in-law, Ed Wiley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, West Virginia with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Burial will be at the Wilson Chapel Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV. Michael Shaeffer, Brian Pat Sullivan, Joshua Lambertson, Stephen Luco, Jacob Luco, William Luco and David Luco will serve as her pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home after 8:00 AM on Monday. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, October 8 at the Kimble Funeral Home.
