Mr. Henry Franklin Harper, 63, a resident of Petersburg, WV and formerly of Seneca Rocks, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. He had recently been a resident of E. A. Hawse Health & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born November 24, 1949 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Warren Edwin Harper (1895 - 1974) and Sadie Rae Burns Harper (1908 - 1995). Henry was a 1968 graduate of Circleville High School and had worked for Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield, WV. He enjoyed hunting and participating in the annual Treasure Mountain Festival Beard & Mustache Contest. He never married. Surviving are - A sister and brother-in-law - Elaine and Harold Lantz of Franklin, WV Three nieces - Eileen (& her husband, Allen) Dove of Franklin, WV Doris Dahmer Jackie Dahmer One nephew - Steve (& his wife, Joy) Lantz of Upper Tract, WV One great-niece - Rachel Lantz And one great-nephew - William Hummel He was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Jane Dahmer and her husband, William "Bill" Dahmer. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 25, 2013 in the Chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. The family will receive friends at Kimble Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Warren Harper Cemetery, Harman Hills, Riverton, West Virginia.
