Helen Virginia Gilbert, 86, of Paw Paw, West Virginia went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 8, 2024 while a resident at Berkeley Springs Health Care Center.

She was born January 30, 1938 in Highland County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Charlie Leonard Judy and Velma Ruth Nelson Judy.

She was a 1956 graduate of Paw Paw High School and retired from the Department of the Army at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. She was a member of the Woodrow Union Church.

On August 30, 1958 she married William Nyal Gilbert, who preceded her in death on December 8, 2023.

Seven Grandchildren

And Six Great-Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalie Horwath, and a son-in-law, David Smith.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 11:30 AM Saturday, July 13, at Woodrow Union Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM with Pastors Nathan Travis and Ken Burkhart offficiating.

Interment will be at Woodrow Cemetery.
