Mr. Harlan L. Simmons, 84, of Franklin, West Virginia, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin. He was born May 26, 1928 at Franklin, West Virginia and was the son of the late Samuel Simmons and Sue Puffenbarger Simmons. He was a truck driver and a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Harlan is survived by his wife, Margaret Duncan Simmons. Also surviving are - Three stepsons - Richard Springer of Fruitland Park, FL Robert Springer of Adelphi, MD Les Springer of Chesapeake Beach, VA And twelve grandchildren Preceding him in death were a stepson, James Springer and a brother, Forest Simmons. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, West Virginia. Burial will be at Thorn Creek Memorial Gardens at Moyers, West Virginia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
