Mr. Harlan Lank Mitchell, 83, of Sugar Grove, WV died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his home. He was born March 6, 1929 at Moyers, WV and was the son of the late Whitney Olen Mitchell and Beulah Grace Propst Mitchell. He was a farmer and an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Harlan was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Military Police in Korea and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Surviving are - One son - Jeffrey Harlan Mitchell (& his wife, Diana Lynn) of Strasburg, VA Two granddaughters - Grace Elizabeth Mitchell Abby Lynn Mitchell He was preceded in death by one infant son. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church at Moyers, WV with Revs. Wendy & Craig Richter officiating. Burial will be at the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the Pendleton County Veteran's Honor Guard. Joe Frank Propst, Lynn Nelson, Roy Bowers, Jesse Eckard, Lanny Propst, Stanley Propst, Harley Propst and Willard May will serve as his pallbearers. The family will receive friends at St. John Lutheran Church from 12:00 noon on Saturday until the service hour at 1:00 PM.
