Guy Raymond Greathouse, 61, of Bartow, West Virginia went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2025 while at his home on Elk Mountain.

He was born October 1, 1963 at Elkins, West Virginia and was the son of Johnny Raymond Greathouse of Boyer, West Virginia and the late Carol Lee (Arbogast) Greathouse.

Guy was a 1982 graduate of Circleville High School and attended Potomac State College and Alderson Broaddus College.  He had worked at Judy Fencecraft at Bartow, at Hanover Shoe Company until it closed, and at American Woodmark in Moorefield for thirteen years.  He attended North Fork Baptist Church, where he was a youth Sunday School teacher.  Besides working and his love for the Lord, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Surviving in addition to his father and his stepmother, Betty Greathouse, of Boyer are –

Nancy Mongold (Marty) of Old Fields, WV

A special aunt –

Connie Tingler of Bartow

Eight nieces and nephews –

Christopher Lambert (Goldie), Kimberly Lambert, April Pratt, Cody and Wesley Mongold, Larissa, Jared and Darek Greathouse

Seven great-nieces and great-nephews –

Chasity Rexrode (Dylan), Logan and Nathaniel Wimer, Benjamin and Nicholas Lambert, Skylar Myers and Aya Mongold

And several cousins

He was preceded in death by his mother, both of his grandmothers, Delphia Arbogast and Sallie Smith, and a niece, Bethany Mauzy.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM Friday, January 10 at the North Fork Baptist Church where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday with Pastor Mike Clements officiating.

Interment will be at the Lambert Cemetery at Elk Mountain.
