Gilda S. Hedrick, 92, of Franklin, West Virginia died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Bridgewater Home in Bridgewater, VA. She was born February 26, 1918 at Ruddle, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Pinkney Simmons and Luna Hasley Byrd Homan Simmons. She had worked as a Deputy in the Pendleton County Assessor's Office, at Franklin Garment Company, Pendleton County Insurance and until her retirement as an Office Deputy for the Pendleton County Sheriff's Office. She was a member of the Ruddle Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher. On December 9, 1944, she married Paul E. Hedrick, who preceded her in death on December 29, 1973. She is survived by - One son and daughter-in-law - Larry and Nancy Hedrick of Dayton, VA One granddaughter - Betsy Hedrick of Harrisonburg, VA She was preceded in death by - One brother - Len Simmons Two sisters - Lillian Ruddle and Beulah Miller One half-sister - Zola Judy Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, WV with Pastor Steve Bird officiating.
