Geneva Laura Thompson, 89, of Reeds Creek Road, Franklin, West Virginia passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, West Virginia. She was born June 29, 1925 at Upper Tract, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late James A. Hartman and Laura Ellen Harper Hartman. Geneva was a 1944 graduate of Franklin High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Reeds Creek United Methodist Church. On October 6, 1945, she married Arlie Edwin "Boss" Thompson. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1979. An infant daughter and infant sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are - Two daughters - Darlene Nelson (& husband, Wendell) of Franklin, WV Rhona Kimble (& husband, Carroll) of Upper Tract, WV One son - Darrell Thompson (& wife, Charlotte) of Franklin, WV Four grandchildren - Stacy Thompson, Chad Kimble, Michael Nelson and Andra James Four great-grandchildren - Jordan Osborne, Luke James, Allison James and Bella Lynn Kimble One step-granddaughter - Gina Davis And two step-great-grandchildren - Carter Armentrout and Kennedy Armentrout The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 1, 2015 in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.
