Freda Virginia Kerns, 90, of Paw Paw, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

She was born January 9, 1930 at Paw Paw, and was the daughter of the late Dayton A. See and Esther Miller See.

Freda was a 1947 graduate of Paw Paw High School. She had worked at Consolidated Orchards and was a receptionist for physicians in Paw Paw.  Freda was a member of the Paw Paw Church of Christ and the Paw Paw Red Hat Society.  She softly played Elvis Presley songs while she worked around the house, and she enjoyed collecting dolls.  She dearly loved her Himalayan Persian cat, Sophia Lynn, and groomed her daily.

On June 27, 1948, she married Eldridge Kerns, who survives.

She is also survived by a sister, Clara Marie Brelsford of Newark, DE.

Preceding her in death were her daughter, Linda Karol "Peachie" Kerns Hunter, son-in-law, F. David Hunter, and sister, Eula Myers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 7 at the Paw Paw Church of Christ.

Interment will be at Camp Hill Cemetery at Paw Paw.

Mike Myers, Tommy Kikola, Donovan Tanouye, Guy Sharp, David Lindsey and Mike Bradford will serve as her pallbearers.
