Freda Maxine Gross, 97, of Paw Paw, WV passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Manassas Park, VA.

She was born June 8, 1920 at Points, WV and was the daughter of the late Marvin Puffinburger and Dorothy Haines Puffinburger.

She was a mail carrier.  Freda was a member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, the Red Hats Society, Farm Womens' Club and a 4-H leader.

Her husband, Claude Wilbur Gross preceded her in death on May 31, 1977.  She was also preceded by a son, Thomas Gross; a daughter, Alice Gross; two brothers, Leo Puffinburger and Carl Puffinburger and a sister, Naomi Glanzman.

Elmo Puffinburger (& Ann) of Hanover, MD

Five grandchildren

And a number of great-great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, where a funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday with Rev. Darlene Powers officiating.

Interment will be at Levels Cemetery at Levels, WV.
