Helen Frances Cunningham Graham, 93, of Buckeye, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Buckeye. Born November 17, 1921 in Marlinton, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Ervin C. and Bessie McGraw Cunningham. She was a graduate of Marlinton High School and the National Business College in Roanoke, after which she worked for the Bank of Rocky Mount, Virginia. On June 9, 1948, she married Jay B. Graham, spent several years raising three wonderful children, and then worked more than 40 years for the U.S. Postal Service as clerk and postmaster at the Buckeye Post Office, retiring at the age of 80½. She was a member of the Marlinton Presbyterian Church and Buckeye Chapel, where she served as Elder and taught Sunday School for more than 60 years. She was an early member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #97. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Evelyn Ginger Cunningham and her half-sister, Rose Nell Cunningham Cole. She is survived by - One son - William E. Tibbs and wife, Sandra of Winchester, VA Maggie Nickels Cline of Scottsville, KY Zachary Graham and wife, Sarah of White Sulphur Springs, WV Tanner Graham, a student at West Virginia Wesleyan Great-grandchildren - Abigail and Eva Kate Cline of Scottsville, KY Reagan and Reese Tibbs of Winchester, VA One sister - Dorothy McNeill of Stuarts Draft, VA One half-sister - Betty Shackleford of Culpeper, VA And a special niece - Helen Bertelkamp of Nellysford, VA The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home, 18942 Seneca Trail, Marlinton, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Marlinton Presbyterian Church with Rev. John McDonald and Pastor Sam Felton officiating.
