Mrs. Fannie C. Propst, 88, of Sugar Grove, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born September 4, 1928 at Moyers, WV and was the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Lona Mae Eye Hoover.

Fannie served as postmistress at the Moyers Post Office for ten years, and retired after twenty-five years with Hanover Shoe Company.  She was an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church, where she served as Sunday School teacher and co-coordinator of the church Bible school and Christmas programs.  Fannie was an avid music lover, and enjoyed playing various musical instruments and singing throughout her lifetime.  She was a member of the Sugar Grove Post 9666 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Moorefield V.F.W. Post 9606 Ladies Auxiliary.

On October 25, 1947, she married John W. Propst, who preceded her in death November 30, 1997.

Three grandchildren –

Dawn Renee Propst (& Michael), Adam Gregory Keller and Meghan Cathryne Keller

Three great-granddaughters –

Jessica N. Ravita (& Tom), Morgan L. Propst and Kaci E. Keller

One great-great-grandson –

Easton J. Ravita

And a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Stacey E. Rexrode, three sisters, Erma M. Hoover, Monna R. Hulvey and Hilda J. Stanfield, four brothers, L. Leo Hoover, E. Mahlon Hoover, Charles O. Hoover and Albert D. Hoover.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastors Jason and Jess Felici officiating.

Interment will be at St. John Church Cemetery.
