Mr. Eugene "Skippy" W. Light, Sr., 83, of Paw Paw, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, surrounded by his family, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. He was born March 16, 1929 at Orleans, West Virginia and was the son of the late Clifton Oscar Light and Lee Frances Gloyd Light. Mr. Light worked for the B&O Railroad, retiring after 40+ years of service. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and Harley Bohrer American Legion Post #128. On September 8, 1966 he married Ethel Virginia Carper Light, who preceded him in death on August 31, 2005. Surviving are - Two daughters - Tresa Whetzel (& her husband, Henry) of Points, WV Amy Feltner (& her husband, Terry) of Bloomery, WV One son - Eugene "Ben" W. Light, Jr. of Bloomery, WV Two stepdaughters - Donna M. Dickey Stofel of Nauvoo, AL Cynthia L. Dickey Hosey of Lake Worth, FL One stepson - James T. Dickey of Mins, FL One sister - Betty Gaither (& her husband, Leonard) of Berkeley Springs, WV Five grandchildren - Kimberly F. Stofel, Crystal L. Essex, Donald B. Lewis II, Bryon H. Whetzel, Devin A. Light He was preceded in death by one daughter - Eugenea L. Light Lewis and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, West Virginia with Rev. Rita Beeman officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Memory Garden in Kearneysville, WV. Ben Light, Terry Feltner, Ray Gaither, Bryon Whetzel, Henry Whetzel and Kirk Light will serve as his pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, April 5 at Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw. Memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Nancy Abe, HC 60, Box 162A, Slanesville, WV 25444. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon at the Slanesville Fire Dept. following the committal service.
