Ethel "Pearl" Thompson, 78, of Broadway, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Life Care Center in New Market.

She was born July 15, 1943 at Franklin, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Curtis Cayton and Mabel Alice (Propst) Cayton.

She was a 1962 graduate of Franklin High School and had worked at Byrd's Restaurant, Hanover Shoe Company, Roses, Subway in Broadway, Traditions Restaurant and Walmart.  She enjoyed word search puzzles and gardening with her husband.

On December 1, 1964 she married Donald Lee Thompson, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2012.  Other family members who predeceased her were a brother, Cecil Cayton, and a son, Duane David Thompson on July 21, 2021.

William "Bill" Cayton (Lois) of Franklin

And a number of nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 200 – 3:00 PM on Friday, June 17 at Kimble Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pat Godfrey officiating.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin.
