Emanuel Bennett (Ben), 94, of Brandywine, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Colonial Place in Elkins, WV.

He was born September 21, 1924 and was a son of the late Acie Bennett and Elsie Bennett.

Emanuel was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.  A 1942 graduate of Franklin High School, Emanuel retired after working as a Quality Assurance Manager for Thompson Steel Company.  He was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren and Sugar Grove V.F.W. Post 9666.

On October 4, 1951, he married the love of his life, Louise Ritchie Bennett, who preceded him in death on February 28, 2019.

Dwayne Charlton (& wife, Melissa) of Roanoke, VA

Gabriel Vlaanderan of CA

Three granddaughters -

Diana Feddon of Harrisonburg, VA

Katherine Bennett-Lenovitz (& husband, Alex Lenovitz) of Bel Air, MD

Meghan Bennett of Jacksonville, FL

Five great-granddaughters -

Sophia, Priscilla, Krystal, Sarah and Mercedes

Eight great-grandsons -

Colby, Joseph, Patrick, Craig, Aaron, Kaleb, Jakob and Izaak

Three great-great-grandchildren -

Zayden, Adalyn and Holden

Patsy Bennett of Mt. Crawford, VA

And a special niece -

Darlene Golsby of Harrisonburg, VA

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Bernard Bennett, a daughter, Diana Lynn Bennett, a brother, Stanley "Babe" Bennett, and a grandson, Donald Bennett.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 19 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, WV where a funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 20 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David J. Morris officiating.

Military services will be conducted by members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.

Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandywine, WV.
