Ella Mae Riggleman, 97, passed away on her birthday, Monday, July 1, 2019 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, West Virginia.

Born in the Dahmer community on July 1, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Harry Pleasant (H.P.) Snyder and Cora Margaret Propst Snyder.

A Franklin High School graduate of the Class of 1943, she was a homemaker and had worked at Hill's Variety Store. Ella Mae was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church since its dedication in 1949. She loved cooking, baking and gardening, which she continued to enjoy until her declining health the past few years.

On July 14, 1946, she married Herman C. Riggleman, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2000. Ella Mae was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by five sisters, Erma Simmons, Mary Warner, Sally Lambert, Georgie Armstrong and Gladys Hill Hartman and three brothers, Fred Snyder, Bennie Snyder and Curtis Everett Snyder.

Surviving are –
One daughter –
Janice Harper (& husband, Dick) of Bridgewater, VA

One son –
Dennis Riggleman (& wife, Lois) of Franklin, WV

Four grandchildren –
Amy Michelle Scott, Shannon Lee Harper, Jodi Lynn Keplinger and Krista Ellouise Kane

Seven great-grandchildren –
Tyler Scott, Madison Scott, Orion Thorne Keplinger, James Allen Kane, Keller Grace Keplinger, William Harper Kane and Ella Katherine Kane

And several loving nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 102 Maple Avenue, Franklin, WV 26807, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday with Pastors Jess and Jason Felici officiating.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.  Shannon Harper, Tyler Scott, Arnold Lambert, Roger Kimble, Walter Morris and Richard Rexrode will serve as her pallbearers.
