Mr. Edwin Ray Roberson, 83, of Upper Tract, West Virginia died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was born April 7, 1929 at Ruddle, West Virginia and was the son of the late Mack Roberson and Eva Hedrick Roberson. Edwin worked for Dupont in Baltimore, MD, Pendleton Motor Sales and had retired from Atlantic Oil Company in 1996. He was a member of the Ruddle Presbyterian Church. On May 12, 1951, he married Freda Shreve Roberson, who preceded him in death on March 24, 2008. Surviving are - Three sons - Jerome "Jerry" Roberson of Harrisonburg, VA Lowell (& his wife, Janet) Roberson of Weyers Cave, VA Terry (& his wife, Shelby) Roberson of Franklin, WV Three sisters - Retha George of Franklin, WV Eula Black of Franklin, WV Elma Roberson of Upper Tract, WV One brother - Alden (& his wife, Ruby Gail) Roberson of Franklin, WV Four Grandchildren Six Great-Grandchildren Two Step Grandchildren One Step Great-Granddaughter He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Roberson and Henry Roberson and one half-brother, Arlin Hedrick. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 26 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Rev. Kevin Hand and Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, West Virginia. The family will receive friends at Kimble Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 25.
