Mr. Edwin C. Kiser, 89, of Brandywine, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his home. He was born January 17, 1926 at Mitchell, West Virginia and was the son of the late Berlin Kiser and Clona Pitsenbarger Kiser. Edwin married Mildred G. Kiser on September 29, 1951 and she preceded him in death on April 1, 2012. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For over fifty years, he and his wife raised poultry for Rocco and also raised cattle on their farm. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and V.F.W. Post 9666. Surviving are - One son and daughter-in-law - Roger Kiser (& his wife, Ann) of Brandywine, WV Two daughters and sons-in-law - Brenda Fisher (& her husband, Bob) of Brandywine, WV Judy Grimm (& her husband, Bob) of Brandywine, WV One sister - Myrtle Crider of Brandywine, WV One brother-in-law - Hobert Simmons of Harrisonburg, VA Two sisters-in-law - Jackie Kiser and Margaret Kiser, both of Harrisonburg, VA Five grandchildren - Rodney, Robby, Tina, Amanda and Andrew Three great-grandchildren - Kaleb, Logan and Michael And a special caregiver - Steve Stump Edwin was preceded in death by two brothers, Everette Kiser and Curtis Kiser, one sister, Glenna Simmons and a brother-in-law, George Crider. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Sugar Grove Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Danny Crider, Gary Simmons, Mike Chapman, Doug Rawley, Charles Kiser, David Kiser, Keith Kiser and Andrew Kiser will serve as pallbearers and Bob Grimm and Steve Stump will serve as honorary pallbearers. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin at any time.
