Edward Douglas Waggy, 27, of Laramie, Wyoming and formerly of Franklin, West Virginia passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 3, 2011. He was born February 24, 1984 at Harrisonburg, VA, the son of Charles D. and Paula J. (Dickerson) Waggy. He was the grandson of Pauline and the late Carson Waggy of Reeds Creek, and Mary and the late Paul Dickerson of North Canton, OH. Edward graduated from Pendleton County High School in 2002. He attended the University of Wyoming and earned a bachelor's degree in 2007 and an MS in kinesiology in 2011. He worked as a Wildland Fire Fighter for the U.S. Forest Service for nine seasons. Edward worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Wyoming from 2006-2011. In addition to his parents and grandmothers, he is survived by his sister, Gretchen Grammer of Adelaide, Australia and his girlfriend, Sara Lookabill of Laramie, WY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Franklin, West Virginia with Rev. Rita Beeman officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, West Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2011 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
