Mr. Douglas B. Stetson, 83, of Sugar Grove, WV died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Avante of Harrisonburg, VA. He was born in Madison, Maine on January 3, 1929, and was the son of the late Ralph D. Stetson and Elsie Stoutamyer Stetson. Mr. Stetson had worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an LPN at a Mental Health Hospital and after retirement, moved to Pendleton County where he and his life partner of 40 years, Gordon A. Gaskill, who died May 24, 2012, owned and operated a farm and enjoyed horses and breeding miniature dashers. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are - One daughter - Sharon Fitzmorris and her husband, Jerry of Skowhegan, Maine One son - James Stetson of Skowhegan, Maine Three grandchildren And three great-grandchildren Inurnment was private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
