Dortha Lea "Dorothy" Cross, 81, of Paw Paw, WV died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Western Maryland Regional Health Center in Cumberland, MD. She was born January 20, 1929 at Cumberland and was the daughter of the late Richard Nazelrod and Mary Taylor. Dorothy had worked at Vanguard, was an orchard worker and wrote the weekly Paw Paw News column for The Morgan Messenger. She was a 1957 graduate of Paw Paw High School and a member of Woodrow Union Church. She is survived by her husband, Walter Cross. Also surviving are - Three daughters - Margaret (& Sonny) Bohrer of Cumberland, MD Christina Sponaugle of Paw Paw, WV Leslie McManus of Paw Paw, WV One son - Kerry (& Cindy) Cross of Remsen, NY One sister - Wilma Davis of Cumberland, MD Nine grandchildren Nineteen great-grandchildren One great-great-grandson Two step-grandchildren She was preceded in death by two granddaughters - Kelly McManus and Ashley Cross. A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2011.
