Dorothy Vay Mitchell, 82, of Sugar Grove, West Virginia passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born April 11, 1934 in Riverton, WV and was the daughter of the late Garnett Huffman and Margie Harper Huffman.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stover Bowers, and her second husband, James L. Mitchell.  A son, Donald Lee Bowers and a brother, Harold Huffman, also preceded Dorothy in death.

Dorothy was a school bus driver for Pendleton County Schools for ten years.  She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Ronnie Bowers (& Christene) of Sugar Grove, WV

Two brothers –

Fred Huffman of Broadway, VA

Shurrell Huffman of Petersburg, WV

Eleven grandchildren

And fifteen great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM (the service hour) on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Paul O'Gorek officiating.

Interment will be in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton, WV.
