Donald James Circosta, 78, of Ronceverte, West Virginia, and formerly of Marlinton, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at home.

He was born July 30, 1945 at Marlinton and was the son of the late James Circosta and Hallie Grimes McCarty.

He graduated from Marlinton High School in 1963 and was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard.  He was a correctional officer, a member of the Trinity Baptist Church at Buckeye, Loyal Order of the Moose and Marlinton Lodge #127 AF & AM.

On November 8, 1969, he married Barbara Ann Vanscoy Circosta, who survives.

Charlotte Thomas (Randy) of Clifton Forge, Virginia

Sandy Circosta of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia

Five grandchildren –

Adreanna, Dena, Caroline, Amanda, and Brandon

And one great-granddaughter –

Macy

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday, April 27 at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, April 28 with Jimmy Arbogast officiating.

Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
