Donald Ray Alexander, 84, of Upper Tract, WV died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his home.

He was born August 22, 1937 at Mozer, West Virginia and was the son of the late Gussa Allen Alexander and Bertha Rebecca Hartman Alexander.

He was an assistant to Russ Kimble who was the janitor at Upper Tract Grade School and he worked for Ralph Dove and Lewis Craig on their farms and in their poultry houses.  He was a member of the South Mill Creek Church of the Brethren.

On July 5, 1961 he married Betty Jane Bergdoll Alexander, who preceded him in death on April 25, 1982.

He is survived by –

Rosco Alexander (& Brenda) of Franklin

Adam Alexander of Upper Tract

Bonnie Simmons of Franklin

Opal Williams of Franklin

Twila Walker of Franklin

Lula Simmons (& Shirl) of Franklin

Linda Beachler (& Nathan) of Sugar Grove

Two brothers –

Walter Samuel Alexander (& Armeda) of Upper Tract

Ralph Alexander of Moorefield

And one granddaughter –

Brittany Alexander

Friends may call after 9:00 AM Sunday, February 6 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 Sunday at the funeral home, where a funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday with Pastor Allen Sisson officiating.

In consideration for the health of those in attendance, it is requested that you please wear a mask or proper face covering.

Interment will be at North Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Eugene Alexander, Allen Bussard, Travis Wolfe, Trevor Wolfe, Lee Roberson, Avery Simmons, Bobby Murphy and Brian Adams will serve as pallbearers.
