Diana Margarette (Shreve) Shrader, 76, of Middletown, VA, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Warren Memorial Hospital's Lynn Care Center in Front Royal, VA.

Mrs. Shrader was born January 28, 1942 in Smoke Hole, WV and was the daughter of the late Harvey Clemmie and Gettie Jane (Kimble) Shreve of Smoke Hole, WV.

A 1960 graduate of Franklin High School, she was a homemaker and part-time employee for the Hecht's Company and Buckaroo's Restaurant in Arlington, VA for several years before deciding on a career with Giant Food.  She worked at Giant Food locations in Arlington, VA and Dale City, VA with a career spanning 25 years, retiring on September 25, 1999.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Diana was extremely proud of her family, as well as her career at Giant Food, where she brightened everyone's day, earned many service awards and made many wonderful friends.

On August 22, 1961, she married the love of her life, Jerry Lee Shrader, who preceded her in death on October 16, 2016.  They would remain devoted to each other their entire life, and had been married for over 55 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents and ten brothers and sisters – Harmon, Nolan, Verda, Mary, Stanley, Adelaide, Freda, Illie Parker, Opal and Harvey Clemmie, Jr.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

And a step-great grandson –

Jayden

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 27 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Miller officiating.

Entombment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
