Mr. Denny G. Glover, 80, of Franklin, WV died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was born June 9, 1930 at Franklin, WV and was the son of the late Homer Glover, Sr. and Deliah Lough Glover. He owned and operated Denny's Barber Shop & Shoe Repair for 48 years. He was a Veteran, having served 8 years in the U.S. Air Force, was a charter member of the Franklin Ruritan Club and member of the Franklin United Methodist Church. Denny was an avid skier, golfer, square dancer and a member of the Treasure Mountain Swingers. On October 13, 1957, he married Genevieve Sponaugle Glover, who survives. Also surviving are - One daughter - Tammy Glover of Harrisonburg, VA Two sons - Clarke Glover of Harrisonburg, VA Scott Glover of Harrisonburg, VA One brother - Homer Glover, Jr. of Beckley, WV And five grandchildren - Whitney, Callie, Kalin, Connor and Nikolas Glover He was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Curtis, Bill and John Glover and sisters, Wanda Sponaugle and Cornelia Glover. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Franklin United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin with military graveside services conducted by members of the Pendleton County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, April 25 at the Kimble Funeral Home.
