David H. McGuire, age 85, of Newton and Woodrow, WV passed away Friday, Aug. 4 from complications of Alzheimer's and cancer.

David was retired from construction, a member of Local 132 IUOE, USW14614 and Local 500 Laborers Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John V. and Mary (Rucker) McGuire, a sister, Oreida Faye Cain and a brother, John Elton McGuire.

David is survived by two sons, David A. of Charleston and Robert L. of Marlinton, one daughter, Patricia Taylor of Newton, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family wants to thank the staff of Miletree Center in Spencer, WV and the Kanawha Valley Hospice.  Per his wishes, there will be no service and the body will be cremated.
