Daniel Clinton "Clint" Rexrode's Obituary
Mr. Daniel Clinton "Clint" Rexrode, 94, of Franklin, WV passed away Monday evening, August 28, 2017 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.
He was born June 30, 1923 in the Dahmer community near Franklin, the eldest of six children to Emery Clinton and Mary Susan "Sudie" Propst Rexrode.
He attended the one room Propst and Dahmer schools. He was a baptized and confirmed member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, which later merged with St. John Lutheran Church.
Clint served his country during World War II from Sept. 23, 1944 to Aug. 6, 1946 with the 942nd Field Artillery Battalion in the European Theater. He was a farmer and worked for Max Ruddle Lumber Company. Clint loved country and bluegrass music and was a member of the Sugar Grove V.F.W. Post 9666. He never married.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva (Day) Dahmer and Mary Catherine Rexrode, one brother, Philip Edward Rexrode and a nephew, Edwin Ray Day.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Jason and Jess Felici officiating.
Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
Military services will be conducted by members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Potomac Highlands Wounded Warrior Program, P. O. Box 754, Franklin, WV 26807 or to a charity of choice.
