Curtis J. Burns, 92, of Riverton, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, West Virginia.

He was born September 27, 1932 in Riverton, West Virginia and was the son of the late Don Lester Burns and Mary Catherine Kile Burns.

Curtis attended Circleville High School.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having obtained the rank of Sergeant while serving in the Korean War and in Germany.

He retired from Valspar Paint Company in Baltimore, Maryland, was a member of the Pendleton County Honor Guard and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Preceding him in death were seven brothers, Charles, Richard, Tommy, Donald, Joseph, Carl and Paul Burns; and four sisters, Pauline Bennett, Mildred Higgins, Sandra Burns and Jean Simpson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Sunday, April 6 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Hakes officiating.

Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery with military honors accorded by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
