Connie E. Mowery, 81, of Petersburg, WV and formerly of Upper Tract, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.

Born June 7, 1936 at Kline, he was the son of the late C.C. Mowery and Annie Lough Mowery.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willa Kimble Mowery and four brothers, Warnie Mowery, Virgil Mowery, Claude Mowery and John Mowery.

Connie was a farmer and raised turkeys for the last fifty years.  He loved to hunt and always looked forward to deer hunting with his grandsons.  He loved to bowl and enjoyed traveling to bowling tournaments.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Sue Crites Mowery, whom he met at the bowling alley.  Also surviving are -

Macie VanSlyke of Upper Tract, WV

Six grandchildren –

Ryan Lazenby, Shane Mowery, Aaron Lazenby, Ethan Mowery, Tessa Rouhselang and Taylor Mowery

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 24 at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church at Mozer.

Inurnment will be at the Lough Family Cemetery at Mozer.
