***CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE
Mrs. Clara M. Willenborg, 92, of Franklin and formerly of Fairmont, WV passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Her family will receive friends and share memories on Sunday, April 17 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. A tribute to Clara's life will begin at 3:00 PM.

Mrs. Clara M. Willenborg, 92, of Franklin and formerly of Fairmont, WV passed away with loving family and friends at her side on March 17, 2016, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA.
She was born on April 23, 1923 near Fairmont, WV and was the daughter of the late Joseph Stevens and Estella Mae Boyce Stevens.
In 1949, she married Gregg H. Willenborg, who preceded her in death in 2003. Clara was also preceded in death by her sisters Doris Kincell and Pauline Bragg, and brothers Louis and Dick Stevens.
She is survived by her son G. Mike Willenborg of Franklin; her daughter Connie D. Gardner of Toano, VA; grandchildren Jennifer Willenborg of McGaheysville, VA, Craig Schiffbauer of Durham, NC, and Ryan Schiffbauer of Boston, MA.; step-grandchildren Matthew Wood of Wheeling WV, and Luke Wood of Beaufort, S.C.; great-grandchildren Silas and Jasper Ballato; step great-grandchildren Brady Wood, Natasha Wood, Cameron Wood, and Lila Wood; brother Paul Stevens; and sister Peggy Scritchfield.
Clara enjoyed her family, especially cooking for them, and talking with her many friends both in Franklin and Fairmont. She spent many hours at the Franklin Senior Center where she walked with friends on the treadmill many times over her last years. Clara credited her long, productive life, to a great extent, to her eating of tomatoes year-round, many of which were provided in season, by a number of considerate friends. She was an avid follower of conservative politics and current events. Clara enjoyed keeping up with her "shows" on television, and bargain hunting. In addition to raising her family, she worked for decades as hotel desk manager in Fairmont, officially retiring at age 79.
