Chris Winans, 55, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, unexpectedly gained his wings a little earlier than our hearts were ready for on Friday, November 5, 2021.

Chris was born in Washington D.C. on July 10 ^th , 1966. He graduated from Woodbridge High School and attended Roanoke College. Chris was an avid sports player throughout his childhood and young adulthood.

He was what his friends, family, and coworkers liked to call a "Gentle Giant." He had the biggest heart and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.  Anyone that knew Chris knew he was passionate in his work and beliefs. Chris loved hunting, traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandson, Steelers football team and anything "wolves."

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Karon Louis Winans, as well as a daughter, Taylor Dyke.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
