Mr. Charles N. "Charlie" Ruddle, 80, of Franklin, WV died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his home. He was born February 21, 1930 at Franklin, WV and was the son of the late Roy Campbell Ruddle and Leta Simmons Ruddle. Charlie had worked for the West Virginia Dept. of Highways, had been a heavy equipment operator and was a timberman. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Ruddle Presbyterian Church and the V.F.W. On October 26, 1955, he married Phyllis Anne Adamson Ruddle, who survives. Also surviving are - Two daughters - Susan (& her husband, Dave) Jones of Petersburg, WV Patricia Ruddle of Franklin, WV Two sons - Charles Bradley Ruddle of Franklin, WV Anthony Roy (& his wife, Jenny) Ruddle of Franklin, WV One sister - Thelma Wolfe of Rock Lodge, FL One brother - Bobbie W. (& his wife, Erma) Ruddle of Mathias, WV Three grandchildren - Katlyn Renee Ruddle Hannah Grace Ruddle Bryson Cordell Ruddle And a special nephew - Curtis (& his wife, Betty) Crigler of Churchville, VA He was preceded in death by two sisters - Hasley Mullenax and Jeanne Crigler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Christ Central Community Church at Upper Tract, WV with Pastor Craig Richter and Greg Adamson officiating. Burial will be at the Ruddle Family Cemetery at Franklin with military graveside services conducted by members of the Pendleton County Honor Guard.
