Mr. Charles A. "Jim" Eye, 94, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

He was born August 8, 1921 at Moyers, West Virginia and was the son of the late Charles A. Eye and Carrie Wimer Eye.

He was a carpenter, a mason and a brick layer.  He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.  He guarded the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and served with the Military Police in Cuba.  Jim was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

On November 23, 1946, he married Bonnie Halterman Eye, who preceded him in death on October 20, 2012.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Charles David Eye, three sisters, Elva Sinnett, Blanche Madison, Margie DenHartigh and five brothers, Ralph Eye, Ray Eye, Richard Eye, Harvey Eye and Paul Eye.  Jim was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, April 30 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Sunday, May 1 at Faith Lutheran Church in Franklin with Pastors Jason & Jess Felici officiating.

Military services will be conducted at the church by members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.

Interment will be at St. John Church Cemetery at Moyers.

Allen Eye, Todd Eye, Derek Nesselrodt, Eddie Caplinger, Randall Halterman and Christopher Eye will serve as his pallbearers.
