Mr. Charles Stanley Calhoun, 67, of Upper Tract, WV died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV after a brief battle with cancer. He was born February 17, 1945 at Petersburg, West Virginia and was the son of the late Charles R. Calhoun and Norma Miller Calhoun. Charles had worked at Union Carbide in Charleston, West Virginia for 27 years both as an Accountant and in the Information Systems Division and for 2 years in the Pendleton Manor Medical Records Dept. in Franklin. He was a member of Christ Central Community Church. On July 29, 1966, he married Linda Whitecotton Calhoun, who survives. Also surviving are - Two daughters - Cerina (& her husband, Dan) Warzyniak of Winfield, WV Carla Calhoun (& Troy Pulpus) of Martinsburg, WV One sister - Janice (& her husband, Rick) Shobe of Petersburg, WV One brother - Dennis (& his wife, Doreen) Calhoun of Upper Tract, WV His mother-in-law - Madeline Whitecotton of Upper Tract, WV Four grandchildren - Jaylen Calhoun, Alyssa Calhoun, Caleb Warzyniak and Aniya Pulpus One sister-in-law - Barbara Whitecotton of Moorefield, WV Longtime friend - Freda Calhoun of Upper Tract, WV And four nephews - Mike Calhoun, Brian Calhoun, Fred Shobe and Dan Shobe Preceding him in death was a son - James Charles "Jimmy" Calhoun in 1993. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Christ Central Community Church at Upper Tract, West Virginia with Pastor Sam Harper and Rev. Rita Beeman officiating. Burial will be at Kline Cemetery. Brian Calhoun, Fred Shobe, Dan Shobe, Barry Rynearson,Richard Carson and Larry Hedrick will serve as his pallbearers. Bruce Alt, Donnie Simmons, Mark Kimble, Bryan Propst, Jimmy Calhoun and Broze McCoy will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends may call at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 PM Monday, October 22.
