Catherine Mae Bowers, 81, of Franklin, WV passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at her home.

She was born September 28, 1937 at Franklin and was the daughter of the late William I. Hedrick and Gladys Huffman Hedrick.

Catherine was a homemaker, a farmer and a substitute cook for Pendleton County Schools.  She was a member of the Friends Run Church of the Brethren and an F.H.A. Chapter Mother.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and upholstering furniture.

On August 12, 1953, she married Carl W. Bowers, who preceded her in death on December 9, 2018.

Janet Roberson (Randy) of Franklin

Two sisters –

Ada Belle Huffman (Marshall) of Franklin

Jean Landes of Franklin

Six grandchildren –

Cathy Bennett, Cheryl Ann McClanahan, Charles Sisson, Bethany King,

Jennifer Harper and Tracy Kimble

And seventeen great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Kimble Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 6 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Daryl Ritchie officiating.

Interment will be at the Ruddle Church Cemetery near Franklin.
