Catherine L. Arbaugh's Obituary
Catherine Louise Judy Arbaugh, 88, of Whitmer, WV and more recently a resident of Cortland Acres Nursing Home, departed this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV surrounded by her family.
Catherine was born November 15, 1927 at Williamsport, Maryland, and was the daughter of the late Bertie Nelson and Bennie Taylor. She was raised by the late Delphia and Lawrence Judy, whom she referred to as Mom and Dad.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Whitmer United Methodist Church.
On June 6, 1969, she married Virgil W. Arbaugh, who preceded her on death on November 17, 1993.
Those left to cherish her memory are:
Three daughters –
Theresa (Jan) Long and husband, Arie of Davis
Sue Vance and husband, Bruce of Onego
Annas Turner and husband, Alfonso Falcon of Verona, VA
One son –
Dwyer Judy and wife, Sandy of Whitmer
One brother –
Jake Teter and wife, Cornelia of Franklin
Special friends –
Russell Hebb and Judy Vance of Cortland Acres Nursing Home
Eight step-children –
Joann Hedrick and husband, Gary of Elkins
Linda Vandevander and husband, Harold of Cherry Grove
Shurlene Burns of Franklin
Woodrow Arbaugh of Cherry Grove
Tony Arbaugh of Cherry Grove
Christopher Arbaugh of Mill Creek
Larry Arbaugh and wife, Linda of Circleville
Steve Arbaugh and wife, Rita of Whitmer

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Bennett; a granddaughter, Tina Arbaugh; two great-grandsons, Ethan Arbaugh and Matthew Vance; a sister, Gertrude Duggar; a brother, Melvin Smith and a half-sister, Carol Lee Bodkin.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Whitmer United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Whitmer United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Bible and Pastor Steve Bailey officiating.
Interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery at Job, West Virginia.
