C. Jean Nelson, 79, of Martinsburg, WV died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. She was born July 27, 1929 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Eston and Dora Cox Kimble. She was a 1949 graduate of Petersburg High School and had retired from Signet Bank. She was a member of Darkesville United Methodist Church in Inwood, WV, and also served as usher and secretary at Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church in Baltimore, MD. She is survived by - One son - Thomas Nelson of Martinsburg, WV One daughter - Sharon Nelson of Baltimore, MD Two brothers - James Kimble of Bel Air, MD and Randy Kimble of Petersburg, WV Three sisters - Joan Borror of Petersburg, WV; Barbara Bloom of Akron, OH and Sylvia Ours of Martinsburg, WV Three grandchildren - David, Jackie and Jamie Eight great-grandchildren And two great-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. Nelson; daughter, Joyce Diane Nelson; sister, Florence Kimble and brothers, Kenneth Kimble, Eston "Buck" Kimble and John Kimble. A service was held on February 12, 2009 at Darkesville United Methodist Church in Inwood, WV. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Wilson Chapel on Jake Hill Road at Brushy Run, WV. Inurnment will follow at the Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV.
