Carolyn Jean Callison Randolph, age 69, of Hillsboro, WV passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Peyton House Hospice Care Center in Lewisburg, WV after suffering from a long illness.

She was born September 3, 1947 in Marlinton, WV and was the daughter of the late Hubert Samuel and Virginia Lee Beard Callison.

As a youth, Carolyn was very active in her church youth group, choir and 4-H.  She was a 4-H All-Star, played in the Hillsboro High School Band, and was salutatorian of her graduating class.  Carolyn graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965 and from West Virginia University in 1969 with a B.S. degree in Home Economics.  She received an M.S. degree in Vocational Home Economics Education from West Virginia University in 1971.

On July 7, 1973, she married Robert Lynn Randolph at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro.

She and Lynn lived in Morgantown from 1973 – 1977, where they attended Harner United Methodist Church.  She was employed for eight years during the 1970's by West Virginia University as an extension agent - home economist in Lewis and Monongalia County.

In 1977, they moved to Bruceton Mills, WV, where they lived until 1984.  While there, she and Lynn were members of the Bruceton Mills United Methodist Church, and Carolyn was a Sunday School teacher and also the director of the Bruceton Mills United Methodist Church All Charge Choir.

In 1984, she and Lynn moved to Hillsboro and bought her parents' farm, where she so much enjoyed living where she grew up.

She was a member of the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church for most of her life and a past member of the choir.  For many years, she was active in Presbyterian Women and CLEO's.  Carolyn has attended the Spring Creek Presbyterian Church in Renick for the past eight years, where her husband serves as pastor.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 PM Friday, March 3, 2017 at Kimble Funeral Home, 18942 Seneca Trail, Marlinton, West Virginia.

Friends will be received on Saturday, March 4 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM with Dr. Sue Hollandsworth officiating.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
