Carolyn Louise Barkley Steele, 62, of Cherry Grove, WV died Friday, March 20, 2015 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, West Virginia. She was born June 28, 1952 at Cherry Grove and was the daughter of the late Wardell Barkley and Emma Lee Rymer Barkley. She had worked at Hanover Shoe and as a CNA at Pendleton Manor. Carolyn was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church. For twenty-five years, she was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Rock Caverns V.F.W. Post #6862 in Riverton and later the Potomac Highlands V.F.W. Post #6454. Carolyn loved jigsaw puzzles, dancing and good country music. Surviving are - One daughter - Kimberly Dawn Steele of Timberville, VA One son - Waylon Michael Steele (& Candy) of Broadway, VA Two sisters - Judy Warner of Cherry Grove, WV Diana Hiner (& Darrell) of Cherry Grove, WV Three brothers - Donald Nelson of Cherry Grove, WV Kenneth Barkley (& Bonnie) of Moorefield, WV Richard Barkley (& Nancy) of Cherry Grove, WV One grandson - Micah Wardell Steele Twelve Nieces and Nephews And Nineteen Great Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Barkley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, West Virginia with Pastor Richard Robertson officiating. Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, West Virginia. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunday, March 22 at Kimble Funeral Home.
